Dinner time, New Orleans-style
February 9, 2013 in Medical Technology
OK, time to get serious! Yes, the health IT world is chock full of dedicated professionals, and they’ll be at HIMSS13 by the thousands. But the conference exhibits will be closing as the sun goes down. And, then, well, we are talking about New Orleans, after all.
As the New Orleans CVB tells it, “Family recipes that date back 100 years, bread pudding beckoning from a bed of decadent caramel sauce, fresh Redfish topped with jumbo lump crabmeat – if one thing’s for sure, it’s that food in New Orleans- from gumbo to grits- is a serious affair.”
So where do you begin? Well, with the CVB’s “Where to Eat” page, of course. You can spend some time reading about the city’s culinary festivals and traditional foods, then click to the restaurant directory and really have some fun.
Just be thankful that HIMSS13 lasts nearly a week. If you don’t make the perfect choice the first night, you can always try again.
