EasyMed Services Inc. has launched a new Android application for its International Medical Passport. The International Medical Passport makes medical records accessible for global travellers via smartphone.
In case of an emergency, the International Medical Passport gives travellers instant access to their medical records, company officials say. The app comes with a host of other features, including pre-travel information, medication reminders and drug interactions.
“Our aim is to make travelling as safe as possible for as many people as possible and increasing accessibility to our International Medical Passport through the launch of our Android app is the first stage in this process; we shall be releasing apps for all other major mobile operating systems in the near future,” said Tejinder Sahota, EasyMed CEO.
Cloud-based and secure, the International Medical Passport is HIPAA-compliant, IBM-certified, and supports HL7. It works on a variety of mobile and web platforms and is operational in over 80 countries.
