Gary Wiltz, MD was inaugurated as board chair of the National Association of Community Health Centers. Previously, he served as chairman of LPCA; chaired the National Advisory Council for the NHSC, and assisted the Health Care Transition Teams of former Governors Mike Foster and Kathleen Blanco.

AtriCure, Inc. announced that Scott Drake, CEO of the Spectranetics Corporation, has been elected as director. Donald C. Harrison, MD, one of the founders of AtriCure, has also informed the Board of Directors of his plans to retire in May 2014.

Daniel McGinty joined Allina Health as executive vice president of hospital and specialty services. McGinty joins Allina Health from Duluth-based Essentia Health. Prior to his time at Essentia, McGinty was the president and CEO of Holy Family Memorial Health Network in Manitowoc, Wis.

Nitinol Devices Components announced the appointment of Dan Lemaitre to the Board of Directors. Lemaitre is the current CEO of White Pine Medical and recently served as CEO of CoreValve until its acquisition by Medtronic.

Aetna has appointed Garth Graham, MD, as president of the Aetna Foundation, the company’s independent philanthropic arm. Graham served as deputy assistant secretary at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services during both the Bush and Obama administrations.

Cerner has hired Zane M. Burke as president, reporting directly to Cerner Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO Neal Patterson. Burke originally joined Cerner in 1996 and has held a number of leadership positions in the company.

Devon Medical welcomed Chip Ross as its new president. Ross has previously held senior level positions at other medical device and wound care companies including Medline and ConvaTec, and served as senior vice president of sales and marketing at Byram Healthcare.

US HealthWorks appointed Mark Pucek, MD as CMO and Bernyce Peplowski, MD as senior vice president for national medical policy and innovation. Pucek previously held the position of regional medial director for the Southeast and Southwest and Peplowski was vice president and CMO for the California division.

TMG Health named Lori Meyers vice president of operations support services.  Prior to joining TMG, Meyers served as vice president of operations and division CIO for Beacon Health Strategies.
