People on the move: Oct. 7-11

GetWellNetwork, Inc. announced that David Muntz would join its executive team as CIO in late October. Muntz has held several prominent roles in health IT, including his most recent tenure as principal deputy director of the ONC.

The Department of Veterans Affairs appointed Susan MacKenzie as the new director of Providence VA Medical Center. She has served as deputy director of VA Boston since 2004.

TransCentra has named Kevin Lee president of TransCentra’s software and technology group. He was previously president and CEO of CRE Secure.

Shantanu Narayen joined Pfizer’s board of directors, serving on both the Corporate Governance Committee and the Science and Technology Committee there. He is a member of the U.S. President’s Management Advisory Board and a director of Dell.

Core Informatics hired Josh Geballe to serve as CEO. Previously, he served as IBM’s vice president of Global Technology Service.

Olivier Brandicourt has been appointed CEO of Bayer HealthCare, effective Nov. 1. He has been a member of the executive leadership team of Pfizer Inc. for the past three years.

Peter Tam has announced his departures from his job as president at Vivus Inc. He has served as president at the company since October 2009, and previously as COO.

Secant Medical, Inc. appointed Jeff Robertson as president. He joins the company from ARmark Authentication Technologies, LLC, where he served as director and general manager.
